Robert Barney {Husband,Father,Grandfather,Friend) was a testament to hard work and dedication, having spent over 30 years at the Chicago Transit Authority. He was a man of little words, enjoyed family,friends,fixing cars,fishing, Philanthropy( St. Jude and NAACP). Throughout his career/hobby of making things, he exemplified a commitment to excellence in everything he did.

Starting his journey as a young and driven individual, Robert dedicated himself wholeheartedly to his family and role at the Chicago Transit Authority. His work ethic and passion for his job were evident to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Despite the challenges and demands of his job, Robert never took a day off due to illness. He exhibited remarkable resilience and unwavering determination, always showing . However, Robert’s remarkable health came to a sudden halt when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. This unforeseen challenge tested his resilience and inner strength in ways he had never experienced before. Faced with this daunting diagnosis, Robert approached his battle with the same courage and determination that had defined his career. Despite the adversity, he remained steadfast in his fight, demonstrating unwavering bravery in the face of uncertainty to the end.

His Legacy will live on through the works of Robert Barney Prostate Cancer Foundation.
